As a photographer, you may want to sort your photos by the date you took them using the Date task. Not all images retain the date though, for example downloaded Facebook images. Does it make a backup copy?
No, ITR Renamer does not make a backup of your files. When you click Apply the changes will be permanent. We suggest copying files to another folder before using ITR Renamer if you need a backup. You can enable log files under the Options settings. This creates a file that lists the changes made. You can use the Undo feature to reverse changes.
Is there an Undo Command?
Yes, ITR Renamer can be configured to keep a record of changes made to files. You must check the Create Log File option in Options and set a folder path. Under Options there is an Undo Changes button. This can load a log file and reverse changes. If you have modified files since creating the log file, this undo may not work. The undo option is intended to be used immediately after renaming when you realize the changes made were not what you expected.
It takes a long time to process thousands of files?
